Using Exitr in Slack

Briefings, alerts and buttons in Slack on Pro and Scale.

An Owner or Admin connects Slack in Settings, Integrations. Pick a team channel, then invite the app to it in Slack with /invite @Exitr.

What you get:

  • A weekday morning briefing in the team channel at the hour you choose.
  • New targets in the team channel, or in a channel per buy box.
  • Signals on saved targets as a direct message to the person the target is assigned to.
  • Nearby acquisitions and the weekly digest in the team channel.
  • Direct messages for assignments, mentions, follow-ups, approved introductions and billing. These never go to a channel.

Target messages have buttons: Save, Pass (with a reason), Assign, Snooze and Open in Exitr. They do exactly what the same buttons do in Exitr, with your role's permissions, and each one is written to the audit log.

Type /exitr with a plain-English search, like /exitr data center contractors in Texas. Only you see the results. Paste an Exitr target link and it turns into a short card for people with access, and a locked card for everyone else.

Slack must use the same work email as Exitr so we know who you are. In Settings, Alerts and digest, you can turn off message types and set quiet hours. Many alerts at once are grouped into one message. Disconnecting Slack stops everything right away.
